Pregnant after miscarriage. When can I become pregnant again after a miscarriage?? When am I allowed to do it at all and is there no right time?? These questions buzz in the minds of women and couples who have suffered a miscarriage. We would like to ask you a few questions.

Losing a child is a blow for every couple and in the short term it pulls the rug out from under your feet. Especially if the child was a wanted child or the couple has been trying to have a baby for a long time, the pain of the loss is deep. A miscarriage is tragic and it takes time to process this event. Fortunately, a miscarriage does not mean the end of family planning, because it is usually no problem to get pregnant again.

Pregnant after miscarriage – when is it possible again?

Biologically, it is possible that you can become pregnant again in the next cycle after the miscarriage. Depending on how far along the pregnancy was, it can take a few weeks until the next ovulation occurs again – but it can also be right away again. If you want to give yourself time to work through the miscarriage, please remember to use appropriate contraception. Many doctors advise not to have sexual intercourse for two to three weeks after the miscarriage, while others advise that a new pregnancy should only occur after two to three months.

Pregnant after miscarriage – quickly pregnant again?

In order for your body, your uterus and your hormone balance to recover, doctors advise you not to get pregnant again until about three months after the miscarriage. Not only the physical aspects play a role, but also the psychological ones. It is important that the loss of the child is consciously mourned so that the miscarriage does not hover as a dark shadow over the next pregnancy. Take enough time for it. There is no date on which you must have finished mourning. This process takes different time for everyone. You can also get pregnant again quickly after a miscarriage, because your body is theoretically already ready for it. There is no medical reason why you should not become pregnant again soon after a miscarriage.

Pregnant after miscarriage – risk?

Miscarriage is a natural process and if you open up and talk to others about it, you will see that it is more common than you think. In addition, there are still unnoticed miscarriages, which occur at such an early stage of pregnancy, so that the woman does not yet know anything about her pregnancy. There is always a risk of miscarriage.

Statistically, if you have already had a miscarriage, the risk is increased. Therefore, a subsequent pregnancy is also often classified as a high-risk pregnancy. Do not let this make you crazy. Many women experience a completely normal pregnancy without complications after a miscarriage. Make sure you have low stress to reduce the risk of miscarriage. If you have already had several miscarriages, then you should get the cause clarified and have further examinations done.
