Homespot connection breaks regularly

Hello, I’ve been using my Congstar LTE homespot for over a month now. At the beginning I was very satisfied, the connection was stable. Since a few days the connection is regularly interrupted and my assumption is that meanwhile more customers use the same cell as I do, so that the network is overloaded and my connection is regularly disconnected by the system. My location is Leipzig. Am I right with my assumption or am I the only one to whom this happens?? Thanks a lot.

Are you using the wifi router from congstar or do you have another device in use?

the connection breaks down completely? Please also check whether the Homespot router displays an error message for this purpose. Is there a connection again after the reboot?

Yes, the connection breaks completely and the only thing that helps is a restart.

Please try to update the software of your wireless router. To do this, please go through the following step:

  • the site http://mw40.home (from a device that is on the router’s WLAN) and log in with the password admin
  • then click on the orange tile "More click
  • Then click on "Update Install the latest firmware

The device will probably restart once. Otherwise please restart the device once yourself. If the disconnections continue to occur?

The connection was stable during the day, but in the evening it dropped several times. has become very slow. Everything points to the fact that the quality depends on how many users share a cell at the moment.

it can happen that the transmission speed stagnates as soon as many people share a LTE mast at the same time, but a complete interruption should not happen, because the number of tariffs per mast/cell are limited.

Have you been able to test the SIM card in an LTE-enabled device in the meantime??

To reproduce the error, I would have to activate the SIM card hourly or monthly. Test a different device for days on end. I don’t have time for that right now.

Well, to rule out a card error this would be helpful. I can offer to send you a free replacement card, although I’m not sure it will really help, but the proof of the pudding is in the eating. I send the card "inactive, so you can still use your current one, you are the "new" one ENABLE. How you go about it is explained in the mail sent to the map exchange.
