We are MY CHOIR., Your community for singing and music. We love to sing and to give joy to other people with it. Our community stands for integration and diversion from everyday life. We are proud of our tradition and have been cultivating our art of singing for more than 135 years. We are open to new things and allow you to participate creatively in the life of the association. Besides the community singing we offer you the participation in our sketches and regional performances. We give you tips& Tricks for singing as well as workshops in which you can participate for free. Be there when our voices give you goosebumps.
What we do.
We sing! In our choir, every singer can submerge himself in the "mass" and simply be a part of the whole, or stand in the front row and give the choir a face, or take on his own part as a soloist and give the choir its own voice.
We play! At irregular intervals we organize a "Brunsken evening", a mixture of music and drama, which attracts visitors from near and far. Everyone can contribute according to his/her own wishes – whether in front of or behind the stage.
And otherwise?
We travel, march, laugh and argue, carpenter, learn, practice, photograph, barbecue and are simply MY CHOIR – each according to his/her own "dosage".
How we do it.
With fun. With commitment. With enthusiasm. With you?
We are different from other choirs, because we sing with an incredible amount of joy and you can see and hear that. Our rehearsals are relaxed and comfortable and show that we value the community very much. Since we have two choir directors, we divide the 4 voices into two groups at the beginning of each rehearsal. So no voice comes too short and we can work in "double tempo" without overstraining the singers.
Why we do it. Our philosophy.
In a time where everybody thinks only about himself and the "work-life-balance" is in danger, we believe that singing and joy can provide more cohesion in society. We imagine a world in which the community counts again. This is MY CHOIR. – we offer you this community for distance from everyday life and our listeners a sound experience of a special kind.
Our idea.
MY CHOIR. stands for joy and cohesion in the fight against boredom, loneliness and depression.

MY CHOIR.CONCORDIA BREUNA
Since 1880 musically on the road in the community of Breuna, the choir is now going new ways after more than 135 years.
What choir can look back on such a long, eventful past??
1880 founded by the teacher Gotte, was followed by other choir directors, who (as was usual at that time) were all teachers. Since 1923 exists parallel a 2. Choir (Mixed Choir), until they 1933 to the "Male and mixed choir Breuna" to be united.
After the break in the 2. After World War II the choir starts 1946 as a branch of the sports club, until 1948 the new foundation of the independent "Gesangverein Concordia Breuna" takes place. In these post-war years, by the way, theater was also played – perhaps our roots for the still (irregularly) organized "Bunten Abende" (colorful evenings).
2001 The Second Hands" are founded as a branch of Concordia with the aim to dedicate themselves to modern, also foreign-language songs.
2015 again a "fusion" takes place, now however not with the goal to unite "male choir" and "mixed choir", but a "traditional choir" with a "modern choir.
Let’s see what the chroniclers will say in a few decades when they can read about these changes in our chronicles. The goal is clear for all of us: It is a step into the future, because we want to preserve our choir for the following generations of Breuna people.
If you want to become a part of this exciting history, you are cordially invited.
